The what if's of life. Our many conversations around the table! We can fix the world-Shrug!
What if I lose my job? My answer, apply for another job. In the meantime, use this time to do things you always wanted to do-- yet you never had time. Grow a garden, write a book, hike, camp in your backyard, make a fire pit. The things you can do with extra time are endless. Don't sit around worrying, look at time as a gift. Look at this as an opportunity that's been given to build your skills to get a better job.
What if I lose all my worldly possessions? My answer, "a fresh start". All the old is gone it's time to start a new day by getting excited about the future. Do you remember the excitement when you first started your "nest" home? Everything was exciting! Even if you didn't buy new.. the old was new to you.
Our outlook determines our mindset. The what if's of life are inevitable. I remind myself that the Great Depression only lasted for a decade. I wasn't alive during this time; however, I've heard stories from my grandmother. Many would say 10-years is a long time, (and it is) yet time passes swiftly. She survived, and prospered afterward.
Anytime there is a down-turn in the economy, for instance if the stock market goes into a bear market, stock prices drop and people begin selling out of fear our thinking determines our actions, mindset, and perspective. You can look at the market and say, "I'm never investing again" and you sell out of panic-- or you can look at the market and say, "Sale". Learn not to panic. You always have options!
Same thing with life- we have options! We have options even when the economy goes into recession. Let the cogs in your brain begin to turn. Look at each new day with excitement!
Dream big! Switch gears even if you have to gear down to "bull dog" meaning never backing down even when the odds are against you.
Only from mistakes do we learn how to be better! Old man experience is a good teacher!
3 John 1:2-4 KJV
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
