Well, hello there! I'm so glad to see you again this year. It's been a long frigid winter, and your appearance brings joy to my soul. You are a fresh reminder of life underneath the dead leaves. Your yellow blooms are so vibrant and full of life, like a ray of sunshine after a cloudy day. As the earth begins to awaken from its slumber, your appearance signifies the promise of warmer days ahead. Yay for Spring!
Bursts of life are starting to show all throughout our farm. Our landscape has hues of green grass springing forth from under the brown, yellow flowers, buds on trees, and many shades of colors starting to pop. It's as if they are reaching toward the sun saying, "here I am shine on me."
The melody of birds returning to sing their melodies. It fills the air with wonderful noise in my ears. It's heartwarming to wake and hear happy whistles outside my window. However, the whistling winter wind doesn't want to leave. The screaming sounds of howling wind continues daily to blow the yellow blooms back and forth as if to say--stop ushering in Spring. They just tighten their grip, close their blooms, and hang on knowing that better, brighter days are ahead very soon.
When it's time for Spring--Spring will come forth. Oh, how I love the tapestry of Spring, all the sights, sounds, and colors. A reminder that God is good. A reminder to us that life is a cycle of rebirth and transformation. Let's continue to bloom as Christians! I want my life to be full of color and growth.
