Till the Storm Passes By

I left the house this evening to walk up the hill...when I left the sky was cloudy yet I could see patches of blue. As I'm walking up the hill I can feel the wind against my back which isn't unusual in "my neck of the woods". I hear the birds squawking, yet it sounds so quiet--almost eerie. On my walk, the road turns back toward the West and that's when I see the storm cloud heading my direction. This cloud was so dark that it fades into the mountain peak as if the two are one....my mind immediately goes to the song "Till the Storm Passes By" written by Mosie Lister.

Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more

Till the clouds roll forever from the sky

Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand

Keep me safe till the storm passes by

I hasten to the cul-de-sac.... turn to head back down the hill in hopes it doesn't streak lightning or rain before I get back to shelter.

Just as quickly as the storm came, it began to dissipate and pass over.

Instantly.....I'm reminded God is good.

I'm so glad I know the one who has control over heaven and earth.

Isaiah 4:6 King James Version (KJV)

And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

Isaiah 25:4 King James Version (KJV)

For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall
