The Greatest Gift

It's the night before Christmas, there's quiet in the house

Outside the wind is stirring, the snow is blowing, and it's frigid--no doubt.

Morning will be here soon. No time to slow--dawn will come quick.

The stockings are hung, the presents are wrapped-- all is ready for Saint Nick.

Hustle and bustle soon will start. There's red boxes, green boxes, large and small. There's something for all. Smiles, laughs, squeals, and surprise. Oh the joy our hearts feel inside!

Amidst all the presents, tinsel, food and drink I see the Bible just waiting to speak.

The baby Jesus was born this night many years ago. I wonder if there was snow? Animals I'm sure was there to attest...that Jesus Christ was worthy of best!

No room in the inn--I'm told. A babe born in Bethlehem many years ago. His arrival was timely and still is today. Do we remember-- why he came? The sins of the world he would carry. This Christmas I choose to remember!

He offers the greatest gift! Will you accept?

Merry Christmas to all!

Luke 2:11-14 KJV

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
