This photo was taken from my front porch 7-years ago. When I look at the beauty that God created it makes me breathless! Even the heavens declare his glory!
So much to do and so little time....it seems I always feel rushed. Spring is over and Summer has made its arrival. Good bye Spring see you next year. Hello, Summer you arrive on time ever year. No stopping or slowing you down. Now that you have arrived the rush is on...gardens are producing, weekly mowing to accomplish, cookouts to enjoy, outdoor activities to schedule, and vacation reservations to make. Shew! Makes me tired just thinking about it all. Life moves fast!
Summer makes me think of a soap opera called Days of Our Lives. At the start of the show ...it would say, "Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives." That quote is so true. We have a limited amount of time. So much to do, so much to see, so much to experience, yet time doesn't slow. Even during sleep....the sand (time) continues to flow through the hourglass.
Often I've heard the way to slow time (not literally) is slow down the pace. So simple...yet so hard!
This is the season where everything is so green and alive! I love Summer more than all the other seasons. The Bible speaks about a land flowing with milk and honey. Honey symbolizes abundance. Summer is like honey....it's sweet or should I say, to me it's sweet. We would all agree honey is sweet but not all would agree that Summer is the sweetest!
My prayer: God help me to take the time to enjoy all that you created.
Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
James 4:14-15 King James Version
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
