Grass blades!

Get ready! It will soon be time to take that mower out of the garage, tune up the weed eater, and de-weed the flower beds. It takes lots of effort manicuring the yard.

I love the smell of fresh cut grass! Sniff Sniff.

Spring is right around the corner! I have noticed the past few weeks that the fields are starting to turn more green day-by-day. Birds everywhere! Robins, blackbirds, crows, finches, and cardinals. All the squawks, whistles, fluttering of wings, creates an awesome morning genre.

The red-tailed hawk that sits in the dead tree keeps his eye on all the movement in hopes he will catch sight of breakfast. The two geese that I spied in the field are enjoying the greener grass, as well as the warmer temps. They enjoy the water, along with plenty of bug snacks.

The farmer that tends the field down the road disc his field last week... this week it looks so green and fresh! Cow manure is a good fertilizer! The benefit outweighs the odor. Definitely made a difference in the growth/color of the field.

Millions of grass blades everywhere...actually more like trillions plus! All those blades create an awesome landscape if we keep them trimmed, de-weeded, and fertilized.

Grass is similar to our spiritual walk with the Lord. You might ask...why/how? Grass used as landscaping requires maintenance. Our walk with the Lord requires maintenance as well. We have to keep our lamp/light trimmed (aka cut) and burning, our heart de-weeded from the seeds that Satan tries to germinate within us, and we must keep our hearts fertilized with the Word so our landscape glorifies the master.

Get ready! Let's do some magnificent landscaping this year!

Genesis 1:11 KJV "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so."

Psalm 104:14 KJV "He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;"
