Full To The Grill

If any of my close friends read the title of this post....then they are having a chuckle right now. Probably a belly laugh.

For those of you who don't have a clue then I'll keep you in the loop.

Years ago, Jeff and I (along with friends) were eating at Cracker Barrel after cleaning our plates the waitress approached our table to see if we needed anything else, dessert, water, etc. I immediately spoke up and said " No thank you. I am full to the grill". Now everyone knows the correct phrase is "Full to the Gills". After you speak you can't take it back. My face was red...totally embarrassed. However, through the years that phrase has served me well.

I chose the photo above because it reminds me "full to the grill" is what I was feeling when I looked out over the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. No I wasn't full of food--I was full of the Holy Spirit speaking to me in a way that I can't even express into words. What an awesome experience to look out and see the handy work of an all mighty God. The beauty that my eyes beheld that day left me with what I call a "Full to the Grill" exuberant life altering memory. Every time I look at this photo I still can feel that joy spring up inside.

As a Christian, I seek to find those "Full to the Grill" moments with God. Sometimes he speaks ever so gently and other times he is like the wind that lifted my hair that day. I love the windy times when you feel him and he moves you.

John 3:8 King James Version (KJV)

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit
