13 weeks of summer...hum. There are so many things that I love about this time of year!
Warm days, warm nights, green grass, lush forest, grill smells from near and far, fresh vegetables from the garden, just to name a few. I must add hay mowing, and bailing...why? Because it makes the fields look so pretty and new.
Then there's sandals, toe freedom, sun dresses, shorts and skorts, sweet tea, and lemonade, ice cream, water slides, BBQ's and tanning too! Fishing, swimming, and canoeing.
The list certainly grew!
Blackberries, cherries, and raspberries! Oh how I love to pick!
Beach trips, car washes, jazz music, and angel food cake.
Oh I must not forget the outdoor porch morning affair! Morning coffee and breakfast too!
You see all these things are summer to me.
Bugs, bees, frogs, and snakes. These make me quiver and shake :(
Thunder, lightning, musty rain! I wouldn't change a thing.
All the sights and sounds of life around me makes me thankful for another day.
13 weeks of summer that's all we have. Let's make each day count.
