Does anyone else hate stink bugs? Every time I think I have rid the house of stink bugs I turn around and another one has found it's way inside. I really don't know what the purpose of them are...yet I'm sure they have a purpose.
The one thing I know "They stink!"
After searching google I learned a little about what they eat. I find dead ones underneath the curtains....now I know why. They eat leaves, flowers, fruits, and other pests. The ones I find dead have literally starved to death. No food equals no life!
The recommendation is to vacuum them up or scoop them up in your hand and throw them back outside. I can't do either. I don't want them in my vacuum cleaner nor my hand. A paper and a flower petal worked just fine for removal this time...lol.
The remedy....prevention! Yeah right...unless you can seal your house air tight that isn't going to happen. So....we have to just deal with the stinky little insect.
Life is somewhat like a stink bug. Problems come and I think I have it all figured out and the next thing I know the problem is back again. Have you ever heard "The more you stir in something the more it stinks" well life can bring stinky issues and sometimes we just need to put away the stirring stick. Eventually, problems are like stink bugs...they either get solved or they die out.
The scripture teaches us that we aren't suppose to worry. Confession time, "I worry sometimes" I try not to... sometimes I do. When the emergence of worry or stress starts to make an entrance....just like the stink bug situation I don't want worry or stress in my life [like the vacuum] or taking up residence, therefore; I have to show them the exit.
The cure for worry and stress "Take the reins". When you take control of your thoughts, it doesn't mean that you will have a perfect care-free life. You just change the way you view the issues.
We have to feed our life....so that we don't die spiritually. Just like the stink bugs.....
no food equals no life "death"! The word has the perfect cure for the stinkiest issues of life.
Don't worry about nothing [stink bugs, problems of life] but pray about EVERYTHING!
Philippians 4:6-7 King James Version
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
