Ready or not here I come says the never late, color-filled, temperature shifting, Fall season.
Where does time go? "Time slow down," I say! I absolutely love Fall. It's the most diverse season of all. Fall brings the most dynamic photo ops.
The leaves showcase the most vivid colors--the reds, the oranges, the yellows-- mixed in with the greens are awesomely breathtaking. At first light when the sun peeks over the mountain and the dew is still on the trees, that moment when the rays of the sun hit the leaves, it's such a magical moment. The fall colored sun-kissed leaves sparkle and glisten as if to say, "Look at me."
And "Look" we do! People visit from all over the world to see what I take for granted in my backyard. God's coloring book.
The joy that Fall brings--pumpkins, corn-maze family fun, s'mores while sitting around a fire, all the different pumpkin choices, scented candles, pumpkin coffee lattes, pumpkin ice cream, eggnog, the list goes on and on. Fall bazaars, apple pies, apple cider, hot chocolate, plaid shirts, duck boots, etc. I can smell Fall in the air. "Sniff-sniff"
We (family & friends) love to take a bike ride down the Creeper Trail to see the beautiful color-changed leaves in the Fall. The air is crisp, the smell is one that you have to experience to describe. Sometimes, you can even stop and buy a hobo pie halfway down the trail. Yummy!
As we crossover one of the highest trestle bridges on the trail we always stop to take a photo, view a few black snakes that are usually stretched out taking in the sun, and then petal on.
Even on cool wet dreary days the mood that Fall brings is so relaxing--a book, blanket, and something hot makes a perfect day!
And last but not least the clear sunny skies Fall brings are cherished. My favorite days!
Blue Sunshine!
Genesis 8:22 KJV "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."
Psalm 104:1-3 KVJ "Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. 2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: 3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:"
