"Listen" do you hear him?

The weather forecast is predicting snow. Sigh! Humbug. I know I know it's bah humbug...I didn't say, "bah" because I took a deep breath and made a sigh noise as I exhaled. I guess snow makes me mimic Ebenezer Scrooge somewhat! I tell myself I like snow I just don't like the effects from the snow...wind, cold, icy roads, achy body parts, etc. As I look out my window I can see formation of snow clouds on the horizon. Those heavy, wavy, rippled clouds tell me the prediction is probably coming to realization. Old Man Winter is getting ready to make his appearance! He always arrives--I'm never ready. Sometimes he's early, sometimes late, mostly right on time.

Well 'he' is here. Old Man Winter makes his entrance (although small) just a ground cover at my house, he definitely likes to be heard. Oh the sounds and sights of Winter. The wind with it's constant roar as if to say listen up I've arrived. Oh the sights--little snow whirlwinds popping up everywhere. I can see them rise up in the field, turning and twisting. They appear and disappear so quickly.

It's wintry outside nevertheless, I must venture out. I have groceries ready for me to pick up. As I hurry to my car the snow driven wind hits me in the face... it feels like thousands of tiny stick pins on my cold red cheeks. I turn my face away to shun the wind yet I feel the sharpness of the cold on the back of my neck. Shivers! It definitely makes me wish I had my scarf.

On a positive note---sunshine tomorrow!

Actually--"Blue Sunshine!" Yes!

Snow is a good reminder of my many blessings! Shelter, heat, and a good place to sleep!

Thank you Lord for your blessings on me.

John 3:8 - "The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."
