Artesian Well

This Artesian Well is within a couple of miles from my house. I have driven by this residence many years...I am ashamed to admit that I didn't know anything about it until recently.

The Artesian Well sits near the road, to the left of the house, near a hay field. After I finally saw it for the first time now I notice it every time I pass by.

When life begins to spring-forth in Spring, it flows.

In the hottest Summer, it flows.

When Fall displays her vivid colors, it flows.

Amid the snow cap of winter's blanket, it flows.

There is consistency.

The flow is continual!

It's so amazing to think about ground water and how it's our freshwater supplier. Also, how the highest mountain or the lowest valley can obtain a freshwater supply...wow! The Artesian Well got me to thinking about water, and the usefulness of water. We are hearing a lot about the word essential right now... one essential absolute is water. No water! No life! We can all agree, It is essential.

In the word, the Bible speaks about a river. John 7:38 "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers (plural) of living water."

I should have rivers (plural) of living water flowing out of me. It is essential...why? It is evidence of his presence.

Artesian Wells don't require a well pump, there is enough pressure from within to push the water to the surface...it flows naturally. When we believe in Christ there is a river (rivers), according to scripture, that is inside me and it should be pushing to the outside without being coerced... It should manifest for others to see naturally.

I desire an overflow....a constant steady stream.

The word of God is often referred to as water. Just as water is essential to our physical body to sustain life.. The word is essential to sustain our spiritual life.

The word works like water...it cleanses. If we believe!

John 4:10 KJV

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
