Sheer glee! A weekend with my family is sheer [in-explainable] glee. When my family visits we don't have to sit gathered in the living room or talk constantly trying to entertain one another... just the sounds and the presence of loved ones around are enough to make this mom "happy".
Elle our granddaughter loves to sing, dance, play on the iPad, and watch TV, while Henry our grandson loves to watch her, and play in his bouncy. He interacts with her with happy squeals, and gleeful jibber jabber.
While the adults "snoop" Facebook, watch TV, read, or sit on the porch, even the dogs do their own thing. Rylee is older "the Bichon" so he likes to sleep. Lucy "the Labradoodle" likes to visit everyone. She is constantly on the move until total exhaustion takes over.
I love to just sit quietly... listen, and watch. I insert my opinion every now and then.
Today is Memorial Day I'm thankful for all the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedoms. I am able to enjoy these gleeful days because of their sacrifice for our country.
This country was founded on "In God we Trust" Oh how I love my country!
